Since it got a couple of entries, I've decided the deadline for submissions would be February 28th. Not too far, but still enough to submit your track!

...Is that the "breast cancer awareness month" comeback? You know, like in 2007?

I already did the BBS post about it, but why not bringing even more attention to it.

NG Megamix Collab is meant to be a tribute to some absolute classics on the portal, ones that became iconic and, in some way, synonymous with Newgrounds. The idea is to create songs using samples from legendary NG tracks in order to make your own.

Why?

It might sound wrong to some people, but I believe using somebody's work in order to make your own original work (e.g. through sampling and crediting/mentioning it in a positive way) is the highest form of honor. I've been on Newgrounds for almost 3 years at this point, and I wanna pay homage to people that made NG's legacy through Audio Portal.

I decided to not continue this challenge cause because

1. With the last year of school, exams and a lot of other things filling my schedule, this year is already gonna be tough on its own and filling it even more doesn't seem logical;
2. I will (and honestly, already starting to) hate making something new every single day;
3. I'm already out of song ideas, therefore the quality has dropped (the last song is literally a pad and a drum beat, cmon)

I wish people that are still going with this challenge like @VictorLincolnPine, @Aalasteir, @DaxCamdaxian, @Apronax, @GizzyKittyMusic, @V1ZION, @RatedKid, @hallowingpoint would keep going and complete the Jamuary. I believe in you guys :)

So... Another year has passed...

Just like in 2023, it's time to make a recap and see what I've done this year.

Music

Can't say I made a lot of music this year, but there's definitely some highlights.

The first one was me participating in Newgrounds Music Triathlon, or NGMT'24. I performed badly, but I still like the songs I made during this contest.

Next, we got the release of Cube Cavern: Recrafted OST with 26 tracks. I started working on it on May 2023, and a year after it finally saw the release... For the first update. There's more tracks planned for future releases, so don't be surprised to see something from the OST next year.

Quick mention of 4th collab with @PapoFuradoPA, love how it turned out :)

Last but not least, the Summer Music Collab 2024. 11 minutes of great music and I got my little entry here :)

The second half of the year was not so productive, with only 6 tracks being released after the collab. I guess I could do better, but whatever.

Movies

First solo movie. I was actively watching the search for "Everyone Knows That" this year and decided to make a little movie about when it was found. It lacks the whole context behind it, but as a first movie I think I did okay.

Speaking of Dexta this year, we released The CD-i Collab where I made the music for Star Fox bit. Go watch it, it's amazing:

Also I participated in OC Meme Collab with animating and voice acting one of the characters:

Quick mentions: One of my songs is used here and I did the elevator theme there.

Yearly stats

I started this year with ~150 followers, and on July 1st you guys pushed it to 200. Now I end this year with 237 of you. Thanks everybody :)

Conclusion

I wasn't as active as in 2023 (especially at the end of the year), but overall I'd say it was decent. Hope I'll do even more and even better next year.

So after some time I decided to make my own web page cause... Uh... Why not?

The thing is: I dunno what to do with it. Maybe you guys know what to add? Maybe some funny pictures you have? Maybe some music? Comment what you'd add :) (also please note that I'm still learning how to do the most basic stuff, pls don't request to make a whole ahh game on pure HTML or smth)

Today I'm gonna show you a thing that's been on my desktop for over a year at this point.

I was always interested in NG history cause you know, it's filled with a lot, and I mean A LOT of great animations that look good even now. And I thought that nothing would show the evolution of Newgrounds's content better than the "Best of All Time" list. After all, it always shows the submissions people thought were the best at that time, so it would be cool to see what was considered "the best" back in those days. The file contains the best animations from a certain date, so you can always watch the #1 and maybe compare them with each other! (or just go on a nostalgia trip ¯\_(ツ)_/¯)

All the info was taken from Wayback Machine, big thanks to them. (btw imagine my face when I heard somebody was attacking the website earlier this year, that would SUCK if we'd lose it)

Some other info you might wanna know before you download the file:

• So far I finished the timeline up to 2008. I don't know when I'll update the file to newer years since I usually come back to this once a month, do like 1-2 years and abandon it on my desktop for another month. Maybe some of you guys will be more passionate than me, idk
• There's a big gap in dates sometimes. Two reasons for that: neither Wayback Machine just doesn't have saved pages for dates or the submission was so dominant it stayed #1 for multiple days.
• Some dates are written with the exact date the page was archived (#1 can change multiple times per day)
• Some submissions are NOT available on Newgrounds anymore. There's links leading to other sites with the same content.
• "Honorable mentions" was a last minute feature :)

I remembered only now.
